Seton Hall University Men's Basketball Booster Clublogo

The booster club is a private, nonprofit club dedicated to supporting men's basketball at Seton Hall University. The club is not affiliated with Seton Hall University.

Club activities usually include a preseason dinner with guest speakers including players from past teams, University officials and coaches. The club also makes a sizeable contribution to the Seton Hall radio affiliate Hall Line in memory of our founding president, Ray Lopez.

During basketball season, we travel by bus or plane to two or more away games. We've traveled to Seattle for the Final Four, Chicago, Florida and most of the Big East Cities. When Seton Hall is in pre or post-season play, we often travel to tournament games to support our beloved pirates. We stay at great hotels and the camaraderie is something to behold.

Highlights From 2011-2012

Our first event was A Day At The Races at Monmouth Park on Sunday, June 12, 2011. This was a great opportunity to meet and socialize with members of the Booster Club and other Seton Hall fans. We had lots of fun things including a buffet dinner, raffel and several assistant coaches were there to talk basketball. Everyone had fun and a few booster club members may have won some money on the ponies!

Our Pre Season Dinner was held on Friday, Septermber 23, 2011 at The Brownstone Restaurant in Paterson, NJ. We had a great beefsteak dinner, special guests, including a member of the coaching staff who spoke at length about the team and its outlook for the coming season.. The activities included raffles and lots of discussion about the coming season. Of course there was also plenty of time to mingle with members of the Booster Club after the long summer and to discuss our favoriet topic--basketball. Everyone had a great time!

Our first trip for the 2011-2012 season was to the Charleston Classic Basketball Tournament, November 16-21. We had a great six days and five night trip for this wonderful tournament. The participating teams included Baylor, LSU, Tulsa, Virginia Commonwealth, Georgia Tech, Northwestern, St. Joseph's, Western Kentucky and, of course, Seton Hall. We saw some great basketball with Seton Hall beating Virginia Commonwealth and St. Joseph's before falling to Northwestern in the Championship Game. The trip also included sightseeing tours of Charleston and Savannah, several dinners and lots of other fun things. Here are some random photos of a fun trip. Hope you enjoy them.

Our second trip of the season was a wonderful one-day bus trip to the Providence game on Saturday, January 7, 2012. The trip included drinks, snacks and lunch on the bus as well as game ticket and a raffle on the bus. We had a full bus of Pirate fans and everyone had a wonderful time, capped off by a hard earned victory at the Dunkin Donuts Center. This was a wonderful trip and everyone had a great time. Here are some photos of our fans and players.

Our third trip of the season was an overnight trip for the Connecticut game on Saturday, February 4, 2012. We left early for the noon starting time andl stayed at the wonderful Avon Old Farms Hotel. The trip included transportation; snacks, drinks and movies on the bus; admission to Foxwoods Casino and a $10 voucher; Sunday mass in the hotel; brunch and much, much more. Although we didn't win the game, the trip was a great success and everyone had good time.

Our annual end of the season dinner was held on Saturday, February 25, 2012, at Don Pepe Restaurant right after the Rutgers game. Although we lost in overtime to Rutgers, it was Senior Night and the University and its fans sent seniors Pete Dill, Herb Pope and Jordan Theodore off with a great cheer. The dinner after the game was a wonderful event and well attended. Each year at this time the Booster Club makes a generous donation to WSOU, the University radio station at the dinner. We all enjoyed great food, guest speakers, including members of the coaching staff, recruiting talk and a chance to meet and mingle with Booster Club members. Here are some photos of the senior night activities and the dinner.
